A happy, successful day by 9 a.m. There are many little things you can do to get more done, manage stress, and have a more positive, optimistic outlook on life.
In fact, many *“successful” people have been asked about their daily routines. They found these people had a handful of things in common that contribute to their personal happiness and fulfillment in life; as well as their goal achievements.
*Side Note:
When saying “successful” people: meaning people who are happy, fulfilled, and achieve their goals. This does not necessarily mean they are rich (although, often times these habits lead to riches).
Here’s what most of them had in common:
- Eating healthy breakfast
- Meditating
- Setting goals & day planning
- Reading something positive
- Exercise
- Counting their blessings (feeling grateful)
- Having a sense of purpose
- Surrounding themselves with positive people
They also found most happy, optimistic, and successful people had 1 other thing in common. That allowed them the time to do most these things to get their day started on the right foot.
- They woke up earlier
Being an early riser is a major advantage to making the best out of our every day. On top of that, waking up early gives you more time, so you don’t feel like you’re in such a big rush. Which will only add to your happiness that much more.
A study shows that over 50 percent of Americans were more happy, optimistic, and more productive between the hours of 5 and 10 am. People tend to not only have more time during these hours, but also gain more focus and clarity.
This is a time of day where many distractions are out of our way, and allows us the advantage of getting ourselves on the right track mentally, and emotionally. It’s a time where the pressures of the day are off us, so we can think and plan more clearly.
Because an optimistic outlook plays an important role in your life, each and every day. Your day go’s how your thoughts go; positive or negative, make it count.
Ideally you want to lay your head down at night feeling satisfied. Knowing that you had a fantastic day, that you did many or all of the things you had set out to do.
If you are not already an early riser, it can be a bit of a challenge to make the switch. Old habits are hard to break. Some love staying up late, & have trouble getting up real early; which is understandable. The night hours can be a lot fun.
But considering the advantages of waking up earlier; it might be worth a try a couple of times to see how you feel about it. You can do this, and still reserve the late night fun for a weekend if you like.
